Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from blogs and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. It earned her some recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for personal growth, rather than for the purpose of making a living or as a hobby. Her parents inspired her to write. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother had said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, and also inspire others to see their value in the world and realize the possibilities for the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. Her sole passion is writing music. She believes that music is the most effective method to experience anything.
